Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

1. Program Overview
The MelodyBolt Affiliate Program ("Program") allows approved participants ("Affiliates") to earn commission by referring customers to MelodyBolt. By applying, you agree to these terms.
2. Program Changes & Termination
- MelodyBolt may modify commission rates with 30 days written notice (email).
- MelodyBolt may modify discount code values at any time.
- MelodyBolt may terminate the entire program with 30 days notice.
- MelodyBolt may terminate any individual affiliate immediately for violation of these terms.
- Upon program termination: all cleared (30+ day) commissions are still honoured and payable.
- Upon termination for fraud: all pending AND uncleared commissions are forfeited.
- Affiliates may leave the program at any time; cleared commissions are still payable.
3. Commission Terms
- Commission is calculated on the actual amount charged (post-discount, post-coupon).
- Standard commission rate: 20%. Influencer tier: 25% (set by MelodyBolt at its discretion).
- Commissions enter a 30-day clearance period before becoming available for payout.
- Commissions are automatically reversed if the customer receives a refund.
- If a refund occurs after payout, the reversed amount will be deducted from future earnings.
- MelodyBolt reserves the right to withhold commission on suspicious transactions pending review.
- Commission applies to all products purchased by the referred customer (songs, videos, upsells).
4. Payout Terms
- Minimum payout threshold: £25 GBP (or equivalent).
- Payouts processed monthly upon affiliate request.
- Payment methods: Wise or Bank Transfer (affiliate's responsibility to maintain accurate payment details).
- All commissions denominated and paid in GBP.
- Affiliate is responsible for all applicable taxes on commission income.
- MelodyBolt may request tax identification for compliance.
5. Prohibited Activities
- Self-referrals -- purchasing through your own affiliate link or code.
- Brand bidding -- bidding on "MelodyBolt" or misspellings in Google/Bing/Facebook ads.
- Coupon sites -- posting or permitting your discount code on coupon aggregator sites.
- Spam -- unsolicited emails, SMS, or social media messages promoting MelodyBolt.
- Misleading claims -- false or exaggerated claims about the product, pricing, or service.
- Trademark abuse -- registering domains containing "melodybolt".
- Cookie stuffing -- using iframes, pop-unders, or forced clicks to set referral cookies.
- Incentivised traffic -- paying people to click your link or purchase through it.
6. Disclosure Requirements
- Affiliates must disclose their financial relationship with MelodyBolt in all promotional content.
- UK affiliates must comply with ASA/CMA guidelines (e.g., #ad or "paid partnership").
- US affiliates must comply with FTC guidelines (clear and conspicuous disclosure).
- Disclosure must be visible -- not buried in hashtags or small print.
7. Brand Usage
- Affiliates may use the MelodyBolt name and approved logo in promotional content.
- No modification of brand assets (colours, fonts, logo distortion).
- All promotional content should accurately represent the product experience.
8. Liability & Relationship
- Affiliates are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners.
- MelodyBolt is not liable for affiliate's promotional activities or content.
- Affiliates indemnify MelodyBolt against claims arising from their promotion.
- This agreement is governed by English law.
9. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes regarding commission attribution are resolved at MelodyBolt's reasonable discretion.
- Appeals may be submitted in writing within 14 days.
- MelodyBolt's decision is final.
